316 Stainless Fasteners – Pennyland School

Don’t settle for a lesser alloy, all of our stainless steel is Marine Grade 316 Stainless Steel (A4). Due to the addition of Molybdenum as well as the higher nickel in the alloy, our 316SS screws are more resistant to corrosion than those made from 304SS. If you plan to use your fasteners in a marine, or otherwise corrosive setting, upgrading to 316SS from 304SS will prove to be a worthwhile investment.
Sometimes, big-box stores will sell inferior alloys labelled “stainless”, with no mention of the alloy. Those fasteners do not meet the requirements for 316SS in marine fasteners. Fair Wind Fasteners sells only fasteners and metal alloys we would personally use. 316 Stainless Fasteners
